Project Healthy Family is a yearly HAFF program working to improve the physical, mental and spiritual health of families in surrounding communities through education. The program has been largely developed by Met Claude Souffrance, a former teacher at HAFF and the project's current director.
Project Healthy Family is currently working in 25 surrounding communities through facilitator teams. Each facilitator team consists of two volunteers who have received special instruction and training from Met Claude. Each team works with a group of 25 people teaching nutrition, hygiene, literacy, biblical principles and more. Throughout the year Met Claude gathers the facilitators for further training and visits each of the community classes to offer encouragement and follow up.
HAFF is blessed to see communities beginning to change as individuals who have participated in the program are learning how to read and take better care of their families' physical and spiritual needs.
